We’d be honored if you joined us!

What To Expect When You Visit With Us

A warm welcome, but not a twenty-question interrogation. We know the value of low-key.

A simple service—no showy production—just ordinary people offering God sincere worship.

Communion with the Lord. We take the Lord’s supper every Sunday, as the early church did (Acts 20:71 Corinthians 11). It’s spiritual and meaningful.

A Bible sermon. Bring your Bible to follow along (Acts 17:11). Feel free to take notes and ask questions of the preacher after the service.

Gospel singing. No choir will perform, but the whole congregation forms an acapella “choir” presenting songs of praise from our hearts to God. You are invited to join in if you know the songs.

An emphasis on people instead of money. Our members give financially each Sunday, but our guests are not expected to contribute. Simply pass the plate on down the row without feeling like you should have put something in. We are interested in you, not your money.

Free study materials. Not only do we not want your money, we will give you free tracts and other materials for your continuing study of the Word. —Allen Webster

“COME AND SEE.”  JOHN 1:39

Parking

Located just off of Belleair Rd., we have a large parking lot to the west side of the main church building as you pull in. Feel free to arrive a little early for us to make you feel welcomed, or to use the restroom just before classes or worship starts.

Kids

During Bible class periods, we have classes for all ages. Your kids would be welcome to go to class with kids their age, but they’d be just as welcome to go to class with you and the other adults in the main auditorium. It’s all up to what you and your family are comfortable with. Safety for children is a high priority, so all of our teachers, volunteers have been screened with background checks. During worship periods, we all gather together in the main auditorium. However, there is both a cry room and nursery available for parents with young children.

Meet
&
Greet

We are excited to meet you! Greeters will be on hand to welcome you and answer any questions you have. Be sure to fill out a card on the appropriate side as you sit down. Please hang out after the service to meet the Elders, Preacher and connect with others. We hope and pray for those visiting us, will have a lovely stay here in Clearwater and will come back to visit again when you are in our area.

If you are a member of the Lord’s church and have relocated to the Clearwater area, we hope that you find us to be your new church family. Let us know of your desire to place membership or if you have any questions about your visit, please contact us at centralcofchrist@gmail.com.

What are your assemblies like?

Every Sunday in our worship assemblies, we perform what we call the “five acts of worship”:

  • Singing (Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16)

  • Praying (1 Tim. 2:8)

  • Taking the Lord’s Supper (Acts 20:7)

  • Giving (1 Cor. 16:2)

  • Preaching (Acts 20:7; Rom. 10:14)

We want to do Bible things in Bible ways in all things, including our worship. Our goal in worship isn’t to entertain or make ourselves feel good, we just want to please God. For more on how we worship, check out what we believe.

Will I be asked to give money?

In every Sunday morning assembly, we give our members an opportunity to give money to support the Lord’s work. However, if you’re not a member of Central, we don’t ask or expect you to give. We’re just delighted you’re sacrificing your time and energy to worship God.
